Hi, I am Moorthi, recently I got registered my flat in a small apartment (it has 12 flats) in Bangalore.
My agreement with builder is Rs. 9L for land cost & Rs. 21L for construction (including electricity, water, registration etc).
My question is, How much VAT I need to pay (based on 4%)? Can you help me on this?

Hi Vatsala,
1. I signed a contract and initially paid about 32 lakhs for a flat being built in Bangalore. The builder started converting it into a penthouse and demanded that I pay extra money. Is there a law about it?
2. The contract required the builder to pay me 24% interest if he did not finish it by My 2007. He has still not finished it and does not want to pay interest.
3. Since the flat is not finished yet and I have not taken possession of it should I pay him sales tax now or when I take possession?

I have purchased a apratment for 26 lakhs (sale deed), and sale I am going for registrantion of on 13 lakhs 86 thousand. Please tell me that whether I am applicable for VAT charges on the sale deed amount or the registartion amount ?
